Chelidonium has an antispasmodic effect on cramps of the gall-bladder. It was used a long time for that indication. Unfortunately chelidonium has also hepatoxic sideeffect. The "milk" in the leaves is irritating the skin.
But it's very nice blooming! You find it here everywhere. I hope also in future times.

It is good for warts ( the orange milk).

Yes, that's right! Directly put on a wart let it shrivel up. One has only to be careful and avoid contact with the healthy skin around.

No, no, of cause not! I know "vitriol" as a name for some poinonous minerals. Sulfates of some metals like copper (wonderful blue colour!) or iron. They are much more poinonous than chelidonium!
Dosis sola facit venenum. :-)
